World of Imagination Launch Blog Hop!

Today I'm super excited to be leading my team on a fun blog hop to celebrate the launch of my brand new World of Imagination range tomorrow (eeek!) This is a range of products I've been working on for over a year and I'm finally ready to start sharing by launching the first ones tomorrow - there are SO many more to come and I can't wait to show you everything we have in store!

Today each of us is going to show you one of the products from tomorrows reveal in greater detail and at the end there is a chance for you to be entered into a draw to win your favourite out of all of them!

So starting with me, a few days ago I showed you the first in the 'Make Believe' kit series - the shop, and today I'm showing you another in the 'Make Believe' series - the Post Office!
This kit was actually the first thing I thought of when developing this range. When I was little I had a toy post office in a case (this one here - thank you Pinterest! lol) and I LOVED it! Actually, Loved is probably a bit of an understatement, it was one of my favourite ever things. Shortly after I saved up to buy a set of toy food and expanded my Post Office into a corner shop (seriously, I caught the business bug early! lol) so my idea for the Post Office and Shop were born! I'm so excited to be sharing them with you and I hope you and your littles love these as much I loved mine :o)

These kits are great because they have a craft element to them as there are pieces to construct yourself, an imaginative game (I think Imagination is so important and should be encouraged as much as possible!) and an educational element with little fun facts and games throughout the kits. They are also super fun for adults (Lisa and I had a great time putting together all of the samples here in the office!) Each kit also comes with a letter from the Mayor of Make Believe welcoming you to your new business (these can even be personalised and have a badge included!!) I must stop wibbling now, I'm just too excited! lol

From my blog you can hop over to Clare who will have another reveal for you. At the end of this hop, you should be at the SarahHurley365 blog where the Mayor of Make Believe will be waiting for you to hear what you think of the range! Don't forget to also pop over and like us on Facebook for more fun and behind the scenes peeks!

Thank you so much for dropping by today and I can't wait to hear what you think of everything!

Elaine's Birthday Butterfly

Today is the lovely Elaine's birthday from my Design Team and she set some of her crafty friends a little challenge, as she loves butterflies, she sent us all a plain card butterfly cut using one of my SVG files on the Silhouette and we all had to decorate it for her however we wished!  Here is my butterfly for Elaine...
I used layers of Tim Holtz Distress paint through my stencils to create a colourful textured background before doodling around the edge of the wings and then stamped randomly with crackle texture, some stars and the 'Someday I'll Fly Away' sentiment (from my stamp sets) This is now winging it's way (pardon the pun!) to Elaine, I hope she likes it :o) Happy Birthday Sweetie!!! x

Design Team News & Lookbook Submission Info!

Just a quick post today to share some news and info!

First up, some exciting Design Team news, last week I asked our guest designers Carol & Sharon if they would join the team permanently, I'm pleased to say they both accepted so we now have two new permanent members of the team to add to our happy little family! :o)

Secondly, I've been asked lots about deadlines and info for submitting to the Sarah Hurley Lookbook Volume 2 (in the 3 weeks since issue one launched we've had over 2300 readers - how amazing is that???!) anyway, back to the point! If you haven't had chance to look yet, you can read the first issue here -

Here is all the info you need to submit:

Your projects can be any type of craft project - a card, scrapbook page or altered piece, it must be made using Sarah Hurley products (you can see everything here) You can email us your submissions for consideration here - all submissions must be received by midnight on 4th November - DEADLINE EXTENDED to 11th NOVEMBER! to be considered. We will email successful people within 14 days of this date to confirm details.

A few tips for your submission!

* Your projects look best photographed on a white or neutral background with little or no props and even lighting.
* It helps to have one or two close up shots of any special features or details.
* Your projects look best photographed straight on, not looking up or down or at an angle (you can use angles on your close up shots to show off details or 3D elements)
* When photographing scrapbook pages, you may find it easier to lay them on the floor (near a window is good!) and stand over them to take your picture
* Don't take your pictures in bright sunny daylight - mid morning or mid afternoon is usually the best I find
* Please make sure your projects are original and have not been featured on your blog or published anywhere else before
* You don't need to be a professional photographer, we just need a clear, well lit picture that shows off your project well - it can be the best project in the world but if your photo is dark and blurry noone will know!
* Don't worry about sending instructions or materials lists etc... at this stage - we will ask you for the information needed if you are selected.

We look forward to seeing your projects!

Introducing... The Sarah Hurley Lookbook Debut issue!

Today I'm revealing another big secret - something myself and my Design Team have been working very hard on behind the scenes and the biggest project I've undertaken since the launch of Documented365!

The debut issue of the Sarah Hurley Lookbook brings you more information on the newest collections, inspirational projects from myself and my super talented Design Team and tips and tutorials! You can read the first issue here...

When I first planned this I estimated it would be around 30 pages, however during the course of working on it, it's grown to a whopping 93 pages! Partly due to the sheer volume of things I wanted to cram in and make sure we covered and partly because the projects my Design Team came up with were so fab I didn't want to leave out a single one!

I hope you enjoy it and, as ever, look forward to your valuable comments and feedback, you can leave comments here or over on my Facebook page.

We will be accepting submissions using my products for Volume Two, please email me here with the heading 'Lookbook Submission' You can see all of my products here in my online store.

Finally, a BIG massive thankyou to my fabulous team, I literally could not have done this without you!

Thank you for dropping by today and sharing in our excitement!
