New DaisyTrail Kits!

With all the excitement and goings on of the last few weeks, I've completely forgotten to mention that I have two new Digi Kits up in the DaisyTrail shop!

One Direction
Flying High

Here are a couple of layouts made with these, first up, this one is made with the Flying High Kit...
and this one is with the One Direction kit - I cheated a little with this one as it's one of the layouts I made to go in the kit - I just added a couple of extra embellishments! ;o)
Now, I must be off, back to work for me as I have more Serif kits to be working on as well as finalising a fab project I have been working hard on with my lovely Design Team - more details in the next week or two! and wrapping up the next lot of Documented365 kits! Luckily I have some super delish Hotel Chocolat Pink Champagne truffles to see me through, I picked them up at Westfield last week after Clare from my DT got me hooked on them when she was visiting - so yummy, I think I have a small addiction now, oooops!

If you pop back tomorrow I will be spooking you all with Halloween and I may just have a scarily good freebie for you all ;o)

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Welcome to Santa's Workshop!

This seems a bizarre thing to be posting about given that the sun is shining through my window and it is SO hot here! but I know we all like to get a jump start on our Christmas crafting and it's not *that* far off - really! So today is the release of my new Christmas Craft CD and Digi Kit!

I'll start with the Santa's Workshop Craft CD...
The CD contains over 500 elements including lots of papers, digi stamps, colour images, embellishments and sentiments (you can get your copy here) I wanted to share some of my favourite parts with you...

First up, the Santa Polaroid pics - these are so fun, great as toppers or embellishments - I can't wait to make some goodies with these!
Also on this CD I wanted to include some ephemera, I love little fun bits and pieces you can add to your craft projects and these little tickets, cards and receipts are perfect - I have a fun project planned with these too!
I've also made two sticker sheets - you can print these directly onto adhesive paper and cut out your own coordinating stickers - or why not try them onto vellum, acetate or kraft paper - lots of possibilities!
I also made some layered embellishments - these give a real touch of luxury to your cards - you can even emboss the edges or use a gold or silver pen to give them a really great finish - just cut and layer with 3D foam - there are 3 in total but all the pieces mix and match so there are lots of different possibilities and ways to put them together!
and finally, in case you missed it, I'm including my first sneak peek again to give you an idea of the papers and digi stamps on the CD - all the digi stamps are in both colour and black and white so you can make quick and easy cards or crack open your Promarkers and have a good colouring in sesh! :o)
We will be bringing you lots of inspirational projects over the next few weeks and Nicole and Sharon were kind enough to share with me two projects to get you started - from Sharon a gorgeous tag, and from Nicole an advent poster put together digitally to help you countdown to Christmas!
Also available from today is the Santa's Workshop Digi Kit with 12x12" papers, embellishments and... two transparent overlays! I love to use acetate on my projects so I wanted to create the effect digitally! You can see all the details and get your kit here.
Now I'm off to get on with some more designs, a few craft projects to finish up and packing up some new products to go in the shop tomorrow - don't miss them! ;o)

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

DaisyTrail Steampunk Scrapbook Page

Just a quick post for me today, as usual I'm juggling eleventy billion things and I daren't drop even one! lol. But I wanted to quickly post up my very first layout made with my own Steampunk digi kit in Craft Artist...

I used the ledger paper (swoon!) made lots of layers and was even brave enough to break out the distress tool on the hot air balloon one. Of course I sneaked in a moustache as well - had to be done!

Thank you to everyone who has sent me messages in the last 24 hours telling me you've bought one or all of the kits, I so look forward to seeing your makes, I hope you'll share on the DaisyTrail website or my Facebook page, or both!

This afternoon I've been working on my Ancestry project and have made a bit of a breakthrough - I'll have an update for you soon!. This weekend I'm planning on some studio time, I have some magazine commissions to finish off, some samples to finish and I want to just colour in for the sake of it for a bit! lol.

I hope you have a lovely weekend!

Thanks for dropping by today

Jubilee themed Digi Scrapping

I hope you're having a lovely bank holiday (if you're here in the UK) or enjoyed watching the Jubilee celebrations elsewhere in the world. I didn't get to see much as I've been working but I saw lots of pics this morning!

Today I'm sharing a page made with my new Britannia digi kit...

The picture is one my sister took - as I live quite close to London and visit often I don't really take touristy pics, my sister lives further away though, so she does! I thought this one was great and she said I could borrow it for this project - yay! I think it matches perfectly with the new kit...

Now I'm off to try cooking Chinese food, Char Sui Pork & Special fried Rice - wish me luck, it's my first try!

Thanks so much for popping by today

*NEW* Digital Scrapbooking Kits

After the great launch of Scrap Basics a few weeks ago I've been hard at work coming up with some accessory kits and my very first full kits with papers, embellishments and alphabets, perfect for digi scrappers! I hope you like them! Here is my first layout with one of the kits 'Say Cheese'...
I put this layout together in Serif Craft Artist (its the program I find the easiest to work with!) so I could add text and 3D effects etc... but you can achieve the same with Photoshop, Gimp or whatever graphics program you have (all the files are JPEG and PNG files so can be imported easily)

You can get hold of the 'Say Cheese' kit here, which has a vintage camera / photography theme and my other kits Britannia (great for the upcoming Jubilee celebrations!) and New Directions.
There are also 3 new additions to the Scrap Basics range with the addition of these accessory kits - including my absolute favourite - digital Washi Tape!!!!

Check out all the kits and other bits here and if you pop over to my Facebook page you will find a code for a 10% discount on everything in my shop!

Thanks so much for dropping by today, I hope you love these digi kits as much as I do and I look forward to seeing your creations with them. Now I'm off to bake some chocolate chip cookies ready for a whole night of digi scrapping with these! :o)

Digi Scrapping LO

Today I'm sharing a digi-scrap layout, I haven't digi scrapped for ages!! so last night I dug out my HD drive with all my kits on and made a couple of layouts using GallimaufryUK kits - this one is my favourite!

The picture is one my mum took of my little sisters sitting in an old car at a museum they visited, I think it's such a cute pic and I've scrapbooked it about 3 times now!

I've used the 'Granny's House' and 'Bloomin Lovely' kits which you can get hold of here.

I'm still getting used to digi scrapping but the more I do it, the more I like it! I'm trying to make enough layouts to get them printed into a picture book so I have an actual album as I would with my paper scrapping.

I've also switched to scrapping in illustrator rather than photoshop, I find the layers easier to see and control and the elements easier to move and resize, I suppose it's what you get used to!

If you have any digi scrapping tips, I'd love to hear them :o)

Challenge Blog

This week we have a fantastic sponsored challenge up on the Challenge blog! I'm so pleased that GallimaufryUK is our sponsor this week - as you know I design for this digi scrapbook company and her fabulous kits have got me hooked on digi-scrapping! I also print out tons of the elements to use on hybrid projects.

The design team have come up with some fabulous projects, both hybrid and digital, using the 'Bloomin Lovely' kit, to inspire you, pop over and see them all here, this is my digi layout:

and here are some hybrid cards I made previously which you may remember...

You can ger hold of the kit here or take part in the challenge to try and win it!

Pop over and check out the prizes, because, get this, every single entrant to the challenge will receive a $1 voucher for the GallimaufryUK store - how amazing is that?! So what are you waiting for???

Remember you can use the kit for both hybrid and digital projects. I am working on a digi-scrap tutorial, so if you would be interested then look out for that!

Hybrid Crafting

One of my favourite things about CD crafting and Digi Stamp Kits is that there is always something to hand, you never run out! But of course, nothing compares ot the feel and smell of paper so I like to print out all my Digi bits, cut them out and keep them in a box for quick cards and projects - you can't fail to be inspired when you open a box full of hundreds of embellishments!!

Thats why working with GallimaufryUK's Digi Kits has been such a dream for me - not only has it given me the chance to experiment with and improve my digi scrapping but I love the elements that she designs, especially for my Hybrid projects. A lot of people are scared of Craft CD's and Digi Scrapbook kits but there is no need to be, you don't need to be digital-savvy to use them (if I can do it nayone can, LOL) and I print them all out and use on my cards and Layouts. Here are a couple of projects I've done recently, a Layout of Fuzzybutt, I love this pic of her, cute!

and even some cards!

You wouldn't think that corrugated card was printed would you?! A definite space saver for me as I used to have a giant box of corrugated card bits, now it takes up hardly any space.

Now I'm off to get ready, it's the day before the royal wedding so I'm off out on Kate's Hen Night (not officially of course, I don't think she frequents the bars of Essex...) but I will be enjoying a vodka or two nonetheless :o)

Brain Fog and Happy Mail!

Today I've spent most of the day updating my client lists and information, its a very tedious task but has to be done, I do like things to be up to date! Usually when I speak to someone new or someone enquires about my work I just note down their details or keep their e-mails and forget to add them to my official database so I had a few weeks worth to add in today and lots of others to check and update, my eyes are now really fuzzy!

The GOOD thing about today though was my HAPPY MAIL! I wasn't expecting anything so was quite surprised when the postie knocked with a little parcel from the US for me.... it was from Siobhan from my Design Team who had sent me this beautiful Vermont Snowglobe - I don't know if she knew but I LOVE Snowglobes and have a little collection of them, she has also enclosed some delicious Maple Candy moose heads - I had never tried Maple Candy before and it is delicious!!

It was such a thoughtful and lovely gift and it really made my day, so thank you lovey! That maple candy really helped me through the day :o)

Finally I want to share some digi layouts that I actually done a while ago for GallimaufryUK, I'm really getting into these digi layouts! a few more and I can get them printed into a coffee table book - yay!

Off for a little break now and then I'm up in my studio working on some projects this evening!

Some work.....

Firstly thank you to everyone who has already sent in your application for the DT - you peeps are quick! If you haven't seen the call yet, please see below and send me an e-mail - don't be shy!

Secondly, I have to tell you I've become a complete digi-scrap convert since I started working with GallimaufryUK designs! (not that I'll ever stop loving my paper of course! LOL) Here are a few layouts I've done this week....

These are with the 'Fresh Start' kit which you can get here....

And this one is done with the new 'My Love' kit which you can get here....

I think this one was my favourite! OH doesn't like the funny faces he is pulling in the pics but I think it's cute :o)

Today I finished an illustration, sketched out the outlines for a few more, organised my pooter as I've been working so fast I hadn't put anything in folders and also I've been organising the DT work to upload to our new gallery coming soon (more details to follow!) and then I had a quick hour colouring in in my studio - bliss!

Now I have some emails to answer, letters to type, orders to print off, plan to write, designs to sketch out and then I'm going to bed!!!

What Am I Up To Now??!

Today I had a lovely and very productive day in my newly revamped studio finishing off samples for CHA - thanks to everyone for the comments yesterday! It is definitely much more enjoyable with its current layout - I was starting to feel uninspired in the old space.

Today I have another bit of news, I am now working on the creative and marketing side of a fab Digi-Scrapbooking company!

GallimaufryUK is run by the lovely Penni, a very talented digi designer who makes lovely digi-scrapbooking kits. I must say I've never been that excited by digi scrapping until now! I am also helping her out with getting the marketing side of her business organised, something I've taken a step back into recently - nice to have some diversity in your work!

She has also very kindly agreed to sponsor one of our challenges over at the Challenge Blog in the near future so keep an eye out for that!

I will be posting some of my digi layouts very very soon, as well as some hybrid stuff, you know me, I need the feel of paper still! LOL - in the meantime you can buy Penni's kits over at Scrapdish - her new 'My Love' Valentine kit was only released today - I havent even had chance to look at it properly!

Thats all from me today, I need to go and scrub the Promarker off my hands before dinner, I have a very green hand (I will show you why when I can...!)
