Introducing... Sarah Hurley Special Editions

I have some exciting news to share today, I'm introducing a new range, Sarah Hurley Special Editions, this is a range designed by specially selected guest designers who's work I love. We are starting with our very own Jaine Drake who has guest designed some stamps for this months 'A Few of My Favourite Things...' kit and at the same time we are releasing Jaine's first three stamps sets...

Introducing...

Today I'm so pleased to tell you all about the new additions to my Design Team!

Thank you to everyone who applied we had SO many entries and we had a very very difficult decision to make, however we have chose 3 regular DT members and 2 Guest Designers and here is a little bit about each of them, I hope you'll give them a big warm welcome :o)

Claire has been crafting for years but started blogging her creations just two years ago, her family are all creative and she loves to make cards, stamp and scrapbook, you can visit Claire's blog here

Lydia lives in Wales with her fiance and two children, she loves card making, scrapbooking and colouring in, you can visit her blog here

Ria loves all kinds of crafts, especially card making and sewing, her interests include travel and photography, you can visit Ria's blog here.

Introducing... My New Design Team!

Today I'm thrilled to be able to share my lovely new Design Team with you!

Please welcome, the lovely Geraldine, Candice & Nicole! They will be joined by two fabulous Guest Designers, Sharon & Carol.

Adding these girls to my existing design team of Clare, Claireliz, Jaine, Melly, Emma, Nat, Elaine, Jess & Lisa and you have yourself one super talented crafty bunch of peeps!! :o)

Very Quick Post

A very very quick post today as I'm in the middle of a million things (only very slightly exaggerating! LOL)

First up, please pop over to the Challenge Blog as a new challenge has gone up today from our Guest Designer Tammy.It's great to see so many of you participating in the challenges now, and it's growing all the time!

Secondly, one of my DT girls, the lovely Melly, is in the process of setting up her own Challenge Blog and is having a DT call - please take a look here and email her, shes lovely so I'm sure her Challenge's will be fun!

February Guest Designer!

Please give a big welcome to our February Guest designer Tammy!

Tammy is a stay at home mum of one who lives in Canada and loves to craft - you can see her blog here. Her first card will be up on the Challenge Blog tomorrow along with a brand new challenge, so please pop over and take a look!

The way our Guest Designers work in future will be changing slightly so Tammy is the last one for the current schedule - keep your eyes open for details of the changes soon :o)

Today was a bit of a fabbo day actually, I spoke to someone about a terrific project, found out some great news which I should be able to share with you tomorrow if I get the OK! (expecting a text from my mum about 5 seconds after reading this asking me what it is, LOL) and started some new projects for Kuretake and Crafty Ribbons which I'll be showing you in the next few days.

Crafty Ribbons sent me a load of new ribbons not even on their website yet - soooo gorge, do you spot those skullies? and bunnies? LUSH! if you spot one you like and can't find it on their website do give them a call and let them know you saw it on my blog and they will be happy to track it down for you, they're so nice and very helpful so don't be shy!

Also, Derwent are having a fantastic competition which you just have to check out here, soooo wish I could play along! LOL

You may notice it looks a bit different here today, I rearranged some things and spread it out a bit, what do you think?

Lovely Day.....

Today was one of those lovely days.... I spent the morning with my Promarkers playing Christmas songs (I know its only October! LOL) I spoke to a lovely company who will be sponsoring a future challenge - look out for that one, a gorgeous prize!! and the OH came home and took me for some lunch and shopping. I do love it when days go like that, so nice!

I want to thank everyone who entered the colouring challenge sponsored by Letraset - we had an AMAZING number of entries! I'll be spending tomorrow looking through them all and commenting and trying to narrow them down! from what I've seen it's going to be tough!

Tomorrow I will also be announcing two of my new DT members, very talented ladies! I've had some more entries since and will be looking through those soon to choose some more people. We also have some great Guest Designers lined up to help inspire you.

I'm off to catch up some e-mails now before settling down to watch the last Whitechapel - can't wait to see what happens! I'm sky +'ing Spooks so no spoilers please!! LOL

Being a bit remiss.....

I've been a bit of a lazy blogger the last week or two for which I apologies. I have been unwell and busy and trying to get lots of things in order (although I'm not making excuses!) I will start being more interesting - promise!! Thank you to those that sent me lovely messages to check I was OK.

Firstly as its now October (seriously, where did September go?!) we have a new Guest Designer, Sarah! Sarah is on a few design teams and demos Promarkers (a shared obssession!) She will be setting tomorrows challenge so please pop over to have a look! In the meantime, you can see her fab cretaions on her blog here.

Also, there is a lovely feature in papercraft Essentials magazine this month, Patsy Jackson shows how you can use Woodland Whimsies to make halloween cards! pick up your copy :o)

I have just finished putting together a collection for another magazine which I will tell you more about nearer to the publication date! and I'm still working busily on more downloads and my next CD.

Also, during the past few weeks i've realised I can't manage with my existing number of Design Team helpers - I wanted to try and keep my Dt quite small as I know all the girls quite well now, we are all friendly and love working together and I didnt want a big team where it became impersonal however the workload is growing and if one is sick / busy etc.. it just becomes unmanageable! So I'm holding an ongoing call for DT people, there is no specified closing date I just want to hear from you if you would like to join us and can committ to participating in weekly challenges and other projects, please send me an email telling me a little bit about you with some examples of your work. Some will be full time DT's and others I will call on for guest positions. you can e-mail me here!

DEADLINES!!!!!!

The last few days have been absolutely fraught, trying to get all the stock prepared for the show, all the samples ready, demos ready (if there is anything special you would like me to demo just let me know and i'll do my best!) and some work I'm doing for other things... I do love a deadline though, i'm just one of those people who work better under pressure, give me only one thing to do and I'll leave it til the last minute to inject the element of panic! LOL, it ALWAYS gets done though and thats the main thing!

I'm uploading the new products on to the website right this minute so they will be available very soon, yay! It's so nice to have lots of products to show but of course means more show samples, luckily I have my fantastic DT girls to help me!

Speaking of whch the lovely Lisa has uploaded another project today using my designs - have a look at her blog to see.....

Also, if you pop over to the Challenge Blog today I have put up the winners for Challenge 1. Don't forget to check back tomorrow as well as Challenge 3 is going up and is from our lovely August Guest Designer - Sue Hickey.

I also forgot to mention that in the blog hop I promised a prize to the DT member who got the most comments on their blog - the winner was Teri! who was in her first week, what a star! She wins a set of Promarkers kindly donated by the fabby peeps at Letraset!

Today in my moment of crisis surrounded by boxes of stock, various labels etc etc OH decided to get out from under my feet and pop to the supermarket, while he was out I made him a treasure hunt of little notes, do you remember those? my mum always done them when we were kids, leaving a note that leads to another that leads to another and finally to a prize! He was slightly confused at first as he hadn't done one before but ended up playing along (sometimes it's easier to play along that try to reason with me! LOL) He did get me one of the new Milkybars with raisin and biscuit though and I have to say they are YUMMY! so I figure the effort was worth it :o)

Off to guzzle the last of it now while I finish replying to my e-mails!

Today I spent the day finalising different things and going through all the Afternoon Tea applications, I'm so glad I didn't have to make that decision on my own! Trying to select just a few ladies from a very talented bunch was VERY difficult. With my own DT call and that one, it has been an emotional few days, I really hate to deliver bad news :o( but on the upside I LOVE to find new talented people I can work with!

Today after much 'Rain Dancing' on my part, it FINALLY rained! and thundered and there was wind, it was fabulous!! When its so hot and stuffy like this the air is like warm soup and trying to breathe it in, especially while I'm not 100% healthy is difficult! On the plus side I got some new medication yesterday which I'm hoping will finally make me all better, it made me feel a bit sick yesterday but I'm told it will get better (yay!)

Back soon with another DT announcement and I might have another sneak peek for you tomorrow as well - woo!
