Loom Band Kit & Book Giveaway!

Today I'm sharing something super exciting, a giveaway! We recently launched a few Loom Band kits including our best selling Loom Band Starter Kit...
We have sold out of these twice and they are flying off the shelves along with the smaller kits! These kits are all available here on my website as part of the fantastic World of Imagination range.

Also, recently at the One Big Show I met some lovely people from Search Press who told me all about their fantastic new book on Loom Band Jewellery - great timing as it was just days before our Loom Band kits launched! So very kindly they sent us a copy so we (or more correctly, Lisa...) could learn how to make Loom Band Jewellery for our product pictures. Like this one...
The book was absolutely great, so helpful, and Search Press said to us that if we wanted to, we could have another copy for a giveaway - woohoo! (This book is so popular it's actually completely sold out at the moment and only available as a download here for another couple of weeks while they await new stock!)
So today we are giving you the chance to win a starter kit and book! All you need to do is leave us a comment below. You can also pop over to mine and Search Press's Facebook Pages to give us a like and a comment there if you would like (let them know I sent you over!) - and each one will be counted as an entry. You have until 8th August to enter - we will draw a winner in the 5 days after and announce it here on my blog and on Facebook.

Good luck everyone! and please do share your Loom Band creations over on the World of Imagination Facebook page - we'd really love to see!!

Thank you for dropping by today

Scrapbooking with My Mind's Eye 'Market Street' Collection

Hello crafty peeps, I've been a little bit quiet the last couple of weeks (sorry!) - we've been super busy at Hurley HQ with yet another reorganisation (the next time we move it will have to be to a new premises, we have no space left, eeek!) new computers, new products and ranges and just generally LOTS going on - more about that later though....

Today, I wanted to share a scrapbook page I made a couple of weeks ago using one of my favourite collections of this year, My Mind's Eye 'Market Street' it has lovely bold colours and plenty of gold accents - what more do you need! I used my collection to make this layout of my sister and I messing about taking silly selfies on a day out...
I used two journaling cards, making one into a pocket to hold the other (I'm adding my journaling later) I wanted the journaling to be hidden (that card tucks in more) as the whole story is something we wanted to keep secret! This chipboard accents are perfect for the title!

I've layered up a few papers, I wanted to use all of them really but I restrained myself and kept the layers quite big so as not to cover up the beautiful detailing, the die cut ephemera worked well with taps and labels to give more dimension and those all important gold accents! I finished with the big bow (a must have - I love that it looks dimensional but it's actually flat to tuck into an album!) and a sprinkling of enamel dots. My only addition was a gold doily (it's an obsession, really... put the doilies down, walk away... lol)

I'll be back with more crafty projects soon, I think this collection may feature again too as I have some left over.

Thank you so much for dropping by today!

Thought for the Day...

As a child / teenager my differences were my biggest weakness, I hated my bright hair that got me teased at school and made me look different to my family & classmates, I hated being the smallest because I got picked on, I hated being a bit odd and different, not liking (or being able to afford!) the 'cool' stuff and finding weird stuff funny, because I didn't fit in, I couldn't talk about my hopes and dreams because they weren't the same as my classmates and made people laugh at me, as an adult, it's all of these differences and struggles that allowed me to shape the life I wanted, to stand out when I needed to, to set myself and my business apart and to achieve those dreams I was told were impossible for me. So today, decide to celebrate your differences, they are wonderful!

Craft Classes in Loughton, Essex!

Today, Lisa and I met outside the office and went to view a venue in Loughton to hold craft classes (and possibly, creative business sessions!) I'm very excited to say, the venue was perfect, close to the station (on the Central Line), on two major bus routes and with parking nearby. We will be putting together a schedule in the next couple of weeks to start in August / September.

In the meantime, we'd love your feedback! Tell us what classes (or creative business sessions) you'd love me to teach (I've already had requests for marker colouring and Project Life, how do they sound?), what times and days would be best for you and anything else that helps us make it the best experience we can for you!

Just leave us your feedback and suggestion in the comments or contact us via email, Facebook or Twitter - I look forward to meeting more of you soon!
