The Great British Craft Festival for Sizzix - Part 2 & a Date for your Diary!

As promised, here are a couple more cards that I made at the Donington show while I was demoing for Sizzix, these ones are made with papers and embellishments from my Santa's Workshop CD!

First up, a Santa Polaroid card, these cute pics are one of my favourite embellishments from the CD and Digi Kit...
The white card is embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder - such a quick and simple card but I love it anyway!
and secondly, a Holidays card,  the red panel is embossed with a sizzix folder and the snowflake is another small embossing folder, I used pearlised card and trimmed around it once I'd embossed it to add to my card with 3D foam
The papers and embellishments are all from the CD...
You can find the Santa's Workshop CD and Digi Kit here in my shop and the embossing folders you can find on the Sizzix website.

I hope you all have a fab crafty weekend planned, Its been a busy and stressful week for me, with one thing and another but this weekend I will be manically finishing off the big project I have been working on with my Design Team which we will be unveiling on Monday - this is the biggest thing we have done since Documented365 and I'm SO excited!

Thanks so much for dropping by today, please do pop back on Monday for the big reveal! :o)

You are a Star! Free Silhouette Cutting File!

Happy Bank Holiday!

I mentioned in my last post that if you popped back today, I'd have a little surprise for you, and here it is, another freebie! This time it's a Silhouette cutting file (SVG format) and this is the first one I've given away!

Here is a card I made with it, using paper from my Britannia CD, kraft card, a small glassine pocket with star confetti and some washi tape.
I put the confetti inside the glassine envelope and run a thin line of glossy accents along the top (it gives that lovely ruched effect when you do that!) then secured it to the paper with a few dots of glossy accents before stitching along the top with gold thread to secure in place properly. Then just two small pieces of washi tape and the added the die cut on 3D foam :o) Here a couple of close ups (you can click on them to make them bigger)
You could add it to a card, smash book or scrapbook page! I'd love to see what you make with it, you can share your creations with me by leaving your link here in the comments or posting them over on my Facebook page.

You can see more of my Silhouette designs here in the Silhouette online store or here in my own store (where you can also see my other designs and craft products)

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

New DaisyTrail Kits!

With all the excitement and goings on of the last few weeks, I've completely forgotten to mention that I have two new Digi Kits up in the DaisyTrail shop!

One Direction
Flying High

Here are a couple of layouts made with these, first up, this one is made with the Flying High Kit...
and this one is with the One Direction kit - I cheated a little with this one as it's one of the layouts I made to go in the kit - I just added a couple of extra embellishments! ;o)
Now, I must be off, back to work for me as I have more Serif kits to be working on as well as finalising a fab project I have been working hard on with my lovely Design Team - more details in the next week or two! and wrapping up the next lot of Documented365 kits! Luckily I have some super delish Hotel Chocolat Pink Champagne truffles to see me through, I picked them up at Westfield last week after Clare from my DT got me hooked on them when she was visiting - so yummy, I think I have a small addiction now, oooops!

If you pop back tomorrow I will be spooking you all with Halloween and I may just have a scarily good freebie for you all ;o)

The Great British Craft Festival for Sizzix

This weekend I spent demoing at the Great British Craft Festival - I was on the Aceville / Crafts Beautiful stand demoing for Sizzix with the fab Bigshot machine and some new dies and embossing folders. It was fabulous to meet some lovely crafters, thank you to everyone who came to meet me and said hello - I loved meeting all of you, sharing some tips and some of my cards and tags that I was making! I did manage to hold on to some though as I promised I would photograph them and put them on my blog this week for inspiration and to remind you all of the techniques I was showing.

Here are the first two, these are made with the new Embosslits combined dies and embossing folders - you die cut the design, line it up in the matching embossing folder and then run it back through your machine to emboss, they give a great effect and I especially liked them on metallic and pearlised card. I gave away quite a few of these but managed to hang on to my favourite two to show you! :o)

Here is the Snowflake (my number one favourite!)...
The pink paper behind is from my Santa's Workshop CD - the snowflake and greeting are embossing folders - I embossed them and cut them out. The fancy cut shape behind is one of the very thin stacking shape Sizzix dies - they fit really well with these Craftwork Cards fancy card blanks! Here is a little close up...
and here is the Christmas Bauble, I used more traditional colours for this one...
the greeting is also from my Santa's Workshop CD. Here is a little close up...
I'll be showing some more of my show projects later in the week!

The show was very very busy and very hot but I was very lucky to have air conditioning in my hotel room when I'd finished for the day - I wished I could have brought it home with me - it was absolutely marvellous! I turned it right down to eskimo temparatures and shivered away drinking hot tea under the smooshy duvet like it was winter - blissful!

Now I'm off to my studio as I have three client projects to finish, all with a Thursday deadline - eeeeeeek!

Thanks so much for dropping by today

Welcome to Santa's Workshop!

This seems a bizarre thing to be posting about given that the sun is shining through my window and it is SO hot here! but I know we all like to get a jump start on our Christmas crafting and it's not *that* far off - really! So today is the release of my new Christmas Craft CD and Digi Kit!

I'll start with the Santa's Workshop Craft CD...
The CD contains over 500 elements including lots of papers, digi stamps, colour images, embellishments and sentiments (you can get your copy here) I wanted to share some of my favourite parts with you...

First up, the Santa Polaroid pics - these are so fun, great as toppers or embellishments - I can't wait to make some goodies with these!
Also on this CD I wanted to include some ephemera, I love little fun bits and pieces you can add to your craft projects and these little tickets, cards and receipts are perfect - I have a fun project planned with these too!
I've also made two sticker sheets - you can print these directly onto adhesive paper and cut out your own coordinating stickers - or why not try them onto vellum, acetate or kraft paper - lots of possibilities!
I also made some layered embellishments - these give a real touch of luxury to your cards - you can even emboss the edges or use a gold or silver pen to give them a really great finish - just cut and layer with 3D foam - there are 3 in total but all the pieces mix and match so there are lots of different possibilities and ways to put them together!
and finally, in case you missed it, I'm including my first sneak peek again to give you an idea of the papers and digi stamps on the CD - all the digi stamps are in both colour and black and white so you can make quick and easy cards or crack open your Promarkers and have a good colouring in sesh! :o)
We will be bringing you lots of inspirational projects over the next few weeks and Nicole and Sharon were kind enough to share with me two projects to get you started - from Sharon a gorgeous tag, and from Nicole an advent poster put together digitally to help you countdown to Christmas!
Also available from today is the Santa's Workshop Digi Kit with 12x12" papers, embellishments and... two transparent overlays! I love to use acetate on my projects so I wanted to create the effect digitally! You can see all the details and get your kit here.
Now I'm off to get on with some more designs, a few craft projects to finish up and packing up some new products to go in the shop tomorrow - don't miss them! ;o)

Thanks so much for dropping by today!
