A Set of Cards...

Today I want to share with you a set of cards I made last week with My Little Shoebox papers, I love their fun and whimsical designs :o) (please excuse my messy studio in the background!)

The first one I have used my Martha Stewart circle cutter to cut an apeture in the centre to show the cloud paper inside

The second one is an Easel Card - I only started making these recently after my DT inspired me (I know, I'm so slow! LOL) which is probably my favourite - I think Easel Card generally are fast becoming my favourite!

And the last one is a triple fold card, cut and shaped like a hillside to make a 3D scene - I do love to create a scene! ;o)

I'll be back tomorrow with more fun stuff!

Making Stuff

This weekend I actually got some time locked away in my studio making stuff - what bliss!!

Firstly a little card using My Little Shoebox papers....

some close ups.....

and then I got round to printing off my second Christmas Journal kit and making my own journal, here are some pics!

I tied it all together with some gorgeous 'PeaPod' bakers twine from The Twinery - I only added that and some kraft cardstock! This is only the base and I have lots more to add, it needs some sparkly bits and some stamped images (my own Christmas Cheer! ones of course!) for the front and some ribbon, and of course my photos and journalling! If you would like to get hold of this kit click here!

There are also a couple of new digi stamps - I haven't had chance to make anything with those yet but I will! More new things coming over the next few days....

This morning I had NINE - yes, NINE blood tests! eeeek! I think I still have a little drop left, just! I did feel a little woozy after (you can't eat for 12 hours before either) but other than that it's not been a bad day - here's hoping it lasts the rest of the week!!

Home Sweet Home......

Today I'm sharing a 'Home Sweet Home' frame I made from My Little Shoebox papers

Home is my favourite place and I love to make little projects to make it a lovely place to be - its our little oasis where we can bolt the doors and do what we like - just me, OH and Fuzzybutt, I love it! I have to thank ScrapShed for the LOVELY papers - you can click here to see them!

I also want to share THIS!!!!

My TV listing!!! I'm on your planners people so press that record / remind button now and don't forget!!

Today I contacted all the talented people that applied for my Design Team - it was so hard to say 'No' to anyone but I'm sure I will find ways to work with everyone whether it be on the Design Team in the future or as Guest Designers - telling people bad news is so hard and I must admit, did make me cry, but I got some lovely responses back so thank you for those, it did make me feel better and not such a horrid person! (I need to toughen up!!)

Once all of the team have picked up their messages I will announce who they are and share their wonderful work with you - I'm so excited!

I had a fantastic birthday yesterday with lovely friends - it was really the best one I've had for a long time and thank you to those who made it special and to all of you who sent me birthday messages on the blog and through email / facebook / twitter and text - I was overwhelmed!!

I will be sharing a sneaky peek of the second CD tomorrow so look out for that!

Now I need to go and work on some more samples for the show - you need a LOT to fill that studio!!

The Road to Recovery....

I've spent most of the week curled up with my fuzzy butt pooch on the sofa with the duvet trying to feel better - I think Belle enjoyed it more than me, a whole week of lazy snuggles! I think Ive finally turned a corner and have even got back into my studio the last few days! I just want to thank everyone that took the time out to send me a message over the last week or so - all your well wishes have helped to keep my spirits up when I was feeling grotty (that and watching Jeremy Kyle of course - I can only stand it when i'm ill!)

It's been a relief to start getting things done again and I think my guilt for a few days of non-activity has actually meant I have achieved more in the last day or two - watch this space for more news!! (I hate not being able to tell people stuff, I'm the worst secret keeper!)

There isn't much creating you can do from the sofa although I did get lots of cross stitching done (I'm working on one of a dollshouse) Doing so much stitching made me long to work with fabric some more - here is a layout of my little sis Harley in the snow - a great excuse to break out the white felt! (and some of the gorge fabric paper from the Dear Lizzy line - Im obssessed!!) some fab October Afternoon paper and of course, my clouds!...... (from My Little Shoebox)

Not Grim Up North!

Have arrived safely in "The North" albeit to freezing temperatures and lashing rain! Can't have it all, at least I'm tucked up in my jamas being fed and tea and biccies at my parents house :o)

Tomorrow we have a trip to a new Hobbycraft to look forward to - looking forward to seeing what goodies I can treat myself too! Although after raiding two deliveries at ScrapShed yesterday I should be being good! Have got the lovely Paper Doll range from Crate Paper and all the new My Little Shoebox collections waiting for me back in my studio. I'm sure they will be added to......

Right,I'm off now to scrapbook with the little squishies as I have a Pyjama Party tonight - wooo!
