Silhouette Valentine Card & Blog Hop News!

Today I promised to share the project I made with yesterdays giveaway SVG file, here it is, a cute and simple valentine card...
Supply List - Sarah Hurley Silhouette Shapes - Valentine Heart (please see previous post) and Kissing Couple (available from the Silhouette store), Card Blank, kraft card, white card - Craftwork Cards, Heart Paper, Grace Taylor Vintage Romance  (available from Trimcraft Stockists), Stripe Paper - Magnolia, 3D foam, Red Flexmarker

I cut the heart twice - once with the wording in the centre on a red and white striped paper and once without the wording on, as a solid shape, from white paper. I also used one of my other Silhouette shapes, this cute kissing couple, cutting it out of kraft card.

I layered the hearts together with 3D foam but I didn't like the way the stripes looked against the heart paper and I didn't think the wording stood out enough, so I used a red flexmarker to carefully colour in the top heart - you can still see the stripes but it's a more subtle tone on tone look now and the bold red stands out much better against the hearts,  you can also see the wording much more clearly!

Also, I wanted to let you know, that we are holding a Blog Hop to celebrate the launch of my new website, for all the details and to join in, please click here or pop back here on Saturday!

Craft Academy Promarker Project & a Free Valentine Digi Stamp!

Today is my first day back to work this week after spending a few days up north with my parents and little squishies - I had a meeting up that way and thought it would be fun to combine some family time, so we baked, crafted and had some fun :o) Now I'm back in very snowy Essex, and I think we have more on the way - brrrrr!

Today is also Craft Academy day and this weeks lesson (sponsored by Letraset) is from Clare, who has done a fantastic introduction to Promarkers - a complete step by step tutorial using my Valentine digi kit (you can get yours here) and this digi stamp which is free to download - just click here!

Here is my card following the tutorial...

 and a close up...
Thanks so much for dropping by - I look forward to seeing your projects with the digi stamp!

Sharing more Love!

Another Love Letters card to share with you today, this one I think is my favourite of all the ones I made, I just love the cute couple (you get them as digis too so you can personalise them)

I think I might make this one again for B (but colour the girls hair in orange so it looks like me!)

Thanks for visiting today!

Love Letters Card

Today I am sharing a card made with my 'Love Letters' digi kit. I was so excited to finally have the chance to print everything it out and hide out in my studio with it for a bit - this week has been so busy that Sunday was the first chance I had!
The only extra I added was the kraft Tattered Florals die cut behind the cupid!

Sunday was also the day we woke up to this...
eeeeek! about 6 inches of snow, and it is SOOOOO cold! We built a little fort in the living room from blankets and pillows and snuggled with Fuzzybutt to keep warm, here she is all cosy...
Give that little girl a blanket and she's happy, she can snuggle anywhere :o)

Thanks for dropping by today, I hope you are warmer than us!

Chunky Books

I'm sooo obssessed with Chunky books and chipboard at the moment, I was so pleased with how my last set came out, all were Botanical themed:

now I'm working on some more with the Marah Johnson papers and after that I want to try something abit darker and scary - I feel a melted doll coming on again :o) or maybe something like the Zombie series I done a while ago:

I'll have to see what random doll parts and scary ephemera I can scavenge in the next week or so in preparation.

Anyway, Happy Valentines Day to you all! I'm off to scoff chocs and swoon over my lovely card (my first year with "fiancee"! ahhhhh)

Have a hug, feel the love x
